New York Times Best-Selling Author &
National Geographic Contributing Writer

I’m Jennifer Holland—thanks for stopping by my website. I hope you find what you’re looking for here.

My new book is hitting store shelves any day now! Please keep an eye out for UNLIKELY HEROES, and, if you love animals, of course I recommend my first two books, UNLIKELY FRIENDSHIPS and UNLIKELY LOVES. I’m proud to say both debuted as best sellers!

I’m available for speaking engagements! For more information, please contact Carol Schneider at Workman’s Speakers’ Bureau, speakersbureau@workman.com.

Finally, a little about my work: I write about everything from parasites to primates, from volcanoes to venom, from stem cells to acid seas. As the youngest of the senior staff writers at National Geographic magazine, I produced more than 50 features and news pieces over some 10 years; then came the first best-selling book. I left the staff to pursue several more book projects while keeping my hand in NGM as a contributing writer. I now spend most of my days tapping away at the keyboard in my sun-filled home office, dogs at my feet.

If you have time, please watch/listen to this video about my very cool creature mascot, the cuttlefish.

Please poke around this site to see more about who I am and what I’ve done—and to order my books! If you need additional information, shoot me an email. If I’m out muddying my boots somewhere far away—which I hope I am—I’ll reply as soon as I’m home again.

                                                                        Thanks for visiting.
